Visit by Didier Samuel, CEO of INSERM

On April 21, 2026, the IAB had the honor of welcoming Didier Samuel, CEO of INSERM, accompanied by Aurelie De Sousa, INSERM Regional Representative.

This visit provided an opportunity to introduce him to two platforms, in the presence of Monique Sorrentino, Executive Director of the Grenoble Alpes University Hospital:

• The BioLIBS multi-elemental biomedical imaging platform, which uses LIBS (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) to analyze the distribution of chemical elements in human tissues—opening new avenues in environmental health, occupational medicine, pulmonology, dermatology, and oncology.
• The GEMELI platform and its Bruker iVDr 600 NMR instrument, dedicated to high-throughput metabolomics for translational and clinical research.
