Corinne LOEUILLET
CRHC-CNRS
Dr Corinne Loeuillet is a senior researcher at the CNRS (CRHC), within the Institute for Advanced Biosciences (IAB, UMR 1209) in the Genetic, Epigenetic and Therapy of Infertility (GETI) team.
She earned her PhD in Life and Health Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Besançon in 2001, and obtained her habilitation to supervise research from the University of Grenoble in 2023 (HDR, CSV Doctoral School Chemistry and Life Sciences, Grenoble). She has built her career at the interface of cell biology, infectious diseases, and reproduction. After postdoctoral fellowships in Switzerland (IMUL, Lausanne) and France (LAPM and TIMC-IMAG, Grenoble) devoted to host-pathogen interactions (rodents, cells / viruses, parasites), she joined the CNRS in 2012.
In 2019, she made infertility her priority research area, joined GETI, and developed a programme focused on therapeutic strategies aimed at improving human fertility. Her programme combines fundamental and translational research: gamete physiology, the role of centriolar and ciliary proteins in certain types of infertility, and the evaluation of contrast agents to optimize reproductive capacity. The objective: to decipher the cellular and molecular mechanisms of infertility in order to transform this knowledge into concrete therapeutic solutions.
Dr Loeuillet coordinates or contributes to several competitive research projects, including ANR-funded programmes, and industrial collaborations with the company Guerbet. She draws on a long-standing culture of scientific excellence. Her previous work in infectious diseases has been recognized with the Swiss TB Award (2006) and the Society for Infectious Diseases Sponsor Award (2007).
